i have a rose hair. shes very easy to take care of and very cheap to feed 1-2 crix a week. I rarely ever hold her though cause she likes to flick hairs on me. If you would like to see a pic of her you can look in my photos. I know there's one in there of her. I like her alot but lately she never comes out of her little coconut home. Rose hairs are also a good starter t. I know others will reply with other starter t. I can only go on mine though since i only have 1.

I have a male rose hair and he is a SWEETY!! I love him so much He's the babe modelling in my avatar. I also have another picture of him in my gallery. Pink toes are also supposedly good starter tarantulas and so are red knees.

I have a rose hair named Homer.... highly recommend them. I can handle mine, and its quite calm and never aggressive. I had a zebra once, but it like to flick its hairs and was very quick. i guess i spoil Homer, he gets fed at least 2 crickets every other day, and lives in a 4 gallon critter keeper, shallow water dish, somwhere to hide and i keep a little bit of damp mose to aide in shedding
