a couple of herps in shawnigan

My grandpa owns a 11 acre place up in shawnigan and so i am frequently up there looking around for herps, i usually find some garters and treefrogs/redlegs, but here are some pics of the things i find harder to come across.(ex. i have only seen 2 of the alligator lizards and this is the only toad i have ever seen up there...and i have been going there my whole life!)

I'll be checking out the tree farm area early this week, i'll let you know what i find. there are also aperent sightings of the wall liz here, but none that i would take as fact. Somethin to keep an eye out for.

nice toad. but i live down here in so.cal. and there are aligator lizards all over almost. but garters there are not mostly kings, gopjers and an ocasional garter.

I think that's amazing! That aligator lizard is very cool! Although I haven't gone out much I should still be doing better then I am. I live on a 65 acre farm and so far this year I found one garter and a friend found a spring peeper.

Very cool. Remember, don't lick the toad. It's not THAT kind of toad.
