new pics of my uromastyx... orange!

I'm not often home in the afternoons, so I don't usually see my uromastyx fully warmed up and basking in the middle of the day. Holy crap does he go orange! I just love this little guy... I'm definitely going to have to find him a mate some day.

<img width="700" height="336" src="http://image.photoloft.com/opx-bin/OpxFIDISA.dll?s=cano&src=/Photoloft/Asset21/2003/07/27/10918/10918593_0_6606.fpx,0,0,1,1,700,336,FFFFFF">

<img width="700" height="441" src="http://image.photoloft.com/opx-bin/OpxFIDISA.dll?s=cano&src=/Photoloft/Asset21/2003/07/27/10918/10918591_0_4210.fpx,0,0,1,1,700,441,FFFFFF">

<img width="600" height="423" src="http://image.photoloft.com/opx-bin/OpxFIDISA.dll?s=cano&src=/Photoloft/Asset21/2003/07/27/10918/10918590_0_9444.fpx,0,0,1,1,600,423,FFFFFF">

Compare that to when I first saw him....

<img width="700" height="323" src="http://image.photoloft.com/opx-bin/OpxFIDISA.dll?s=cano&src=/Photoloft/Asset21/2003/07/02/10822/10822433_0_7037.fpx,0,0,1,1,700,323,FFFFFF">

Well, the kid did say "he gets more orange sometimes..." It just goes to show how hard it can be to pick out quality animals..... even time of day can make a difference!

Dragon_Slave, he's not a mali, he's a <i>Uromastyx geryi</i> - a Saharan or Nigerian uromastyx. :rsmile:
