Poop procedure?

So I think Huxley just pooped (this might be a solid urate...I'm not really sure...I *think* it's poop..pretty sure it's poop...) and I want to run down the procedure (lol...operation poopie...this is so ridiculous)

I'm bagging it (he's going to the vet on Monday...great timing!), and I'm gonna put it in the fridge. For now, the plan was just to replace the newspaper substrate. I'll probably clean the tank on Sunday or Monday (this is necessary after a poop, no?) What is the proportion of bleach to water? 1/30? I know I've read this here, but now that I need it, I can't find it. I know to do the first rinse of the tank with salt water.

Let me know...this is a first.

lol.I usually don't clean clean the tank like that but maybe 2 times a month. What I do is after Damballah poops I take the paper out, wash it out with a wet cloth, dry it, and replace it. Then when the time comes for total cage cleaning. I clean it good....take it in the shower etc....etc....

I avoid using bleach in all my enclosures. For routine cleaning I just spray it down with peroxide and wipe dry (if you are using this on glass it will leave streaks, you will need to rinse). For completel cleaning, say changing enclosures between snakes, I use peroxide, and then I spray over top with vinegar, and rinse. This kills more germs than bleach, and is completely 100% non-toxic to your herp! It depends... did the tank get dirty from the poop? If the tank is dirty, cleaning can be good, but if its just the paper then you don't have to worry about it

Do you dilute the peroxide/vinegar? The tank didn't get dirty, so I probably won't clean it until I hand it over to someone to snakesit.

Nope, I just use it straight up. All my animals are housed in either rubbermaids or custom wood enclosures, so I just spray them down with straight peroxide and let it sit for a minute, the wipe it dry with a papertowel. This will leave steaks on glass though. Vinegar is actually a very good glass cleaner, leaves a nice streak-free shine. I always rinse when I use vinegar though.
