small bumps/scars on ball

I went to see a friend with a newly purchased ball python today. When I looked at him I noticed 20 or so small bumps/scars on him. He's only about 2 months old I would say. I don't think they were ticks becasue I couldn't see any. Could they be whats left of in improperly removed tick? Any other ideas what it could be?

thanks

I think it's CB, I'm in London, Ont as well. He bought it from a pet store here. I'm not to familiar with the pet stores around here, do they get any WC hatchlings?

I think the better question would be, do pet stores get anything BUT WC hatchlings?

Loads of CH hatchlings On occassion you will get a rare CBB ball (we had a few males Mark Mandic produced at work). That was the only time though I had ever seen a CBB ball in a store...lol.....but CH are jsut as common as WC I would say. Not quite as bad as WC, but sometimes not quite as good as CBB either.
