A buddy of mine recently found a female eastern milksnake that was gravid. This female could not have been longer then 20'' and yet was very gravid (palpated eggs).
What is the average size you guys seen gravid easterns and what size are the biggest ones you've seen...
Markel talks about a 5' found in the states? The biggest I've seen couldn't be more then 36'' - 42''
Mine are all less than 36". I have seen some small females that have laid fertile eggs. I have a wc corn that was not 20" when she laid 6 good eggs last year. I would think that a 20" wild snake would be older and more mature than a 20" c.b. one, don't you?? Got any pics of her? Love to see 'em!
