Mexican Black in shed
I LOVE how Jose looks when he is blue! Ignore the poop, it was cage cleaning day! I switched this guy from paper towel (which I love) to aspen (which I hate) because it seems he makes HUGE messes with paper towel and constantly gets covered in his crap no matter how often I clean. heheheh. Well enjoy the pics.

Here he is in his nice clean, aspen filled house!

Thanks for looking!

Only during shed. There are some Cal kings that have blue eyes though. Never seen one personally.

Yep Ace is correct.
Mexican Blacks have normal dark colored eyes, which become bluer than other snakes with lighter colored eyes, but many many snakes have very blue eyes before a shed.
THere is a group of california kings, sometimes called "blondes" That are like albinos, but with blue eyes. Here is a link to check them out:
http://www.vividreptiles.com/pages/calking.html
Qoute from the webpage:
"A new strain of California kingsnake that originated from a coastal southern California locality. This is not a designer snake and is not to be confused with the lavender California kingsnake. Our blonds have a variable, fleshy-cream background color with bright, lemon yellow banding that intensifies as the animal matures. The eyes turn blue in the adults"

Yup. That's pretty much what normal albino california kingsnakes look like. The camera or photo may make her look slightly different but thats pretty much the standard albino
Marylyn- He is more than a biter. He bites everything, he bites himself, swallowed part of ihs tail the other night, and when he bites a person he hangs on!
