Newbie hello
Hi,
Thought I'd say hello. I'm new to herping and to the site. I started taking my young kids to the local reptile zoo (Little Ray's in Ottawa ON, Canada), and got it in my head to get a reptile of some sort. Had my wife almost talked into getting leopard geckos, but she balked at keeping live crickets in the apartment.
We both had the chance to handle a corn snake, and we fell in love with it. Now we have a beautiful Okeetee youngster. We're talking about bearded dragons too, but I think that will have to wait until we get a bigger place.
Great site, and great community of posters. I'm ecstatic to have access to a resource like this.
Roy

Welcome and congratulations on getting a corn snake, I think they're awesome too. I don't blame your wife on balking about crickets, took me a long time before I said we could get anything that eats bugs. Now I have a toad

Greeting and welcome on board. My name is Chuck and I live the southeastern United States. My main interest is North American pit vipers, but I also know a little about giant pythons.
