"Q" for SCALES ZOO...

Hi folks,
I really enjoyed those pics that Katt & Vanan shared with us of your Taiwan Beauty and the big Spilotes.

How many Spilotes do you have? Have you bred them? What sex is the one that Katt's holding?

I can't wait 'til my guys attain those magnificent proportions.

Ok so we're not part of SCALES ZOO yet! But, that spilotes is a female. They have a smaller male and haven't attempted breeding them.

Sorry for jumping in Ryan and Sheila but I've been thinking about those Spilotes ever since and got too excited! lol

Hi Simon.

Those are nice pictures that Vanan took. I think all of your questions have been answered by Katt and Vanan.

When we got these snakes, the female was shorter, and not as girthy. I'm thinking she is probably ready to attempt breeding, we will probably give it a shot next spring.

Who bred your spilotes? My male's from Dr. Phil, and I've been looking to match him up for some time now. I know Phil sold his, and they're out in Newfoundland now, which is kind of hard to get any future progeny out to me. I'm moving out to your neck of the woods, so I'll have to contact you next spring...
They do grow fast, don't they?

Your moving out here? Where too?

I do not know where this pair originated. Did Phil breed spilotes?

What price do c.b. spilotes go for?

Hey Ryan,

Yes Phil has bred Spilotes several times, I believe. My pair are were produced by him.

I think he was selling them for around $350.00 CAN/pair.

If you guys are fortunate enough to produce any, let me know. I've got space for a couple more, lol! My female's a very picky eater, and I wouldn't mind having an extra girl around, just in case.

Good luck with those snakes.

I'm moving to Saskatoon in mid-August.

I bought my lone male for $200, I think he was the odd one out of the clutch. Phil's line is from Nicaragua, which worked out well for me since his is the same stock as the Vancouver Aquarium's, the first place I fell in love with them.

It's weird. I don't understand it. I'm feeling insecure

I only just learned I've got gallery space here, so now I'm trying to get pics to work.
