don't know maybe it is the heat thing or maybe thats where it is comfortable. Leos sometimes sleep in funny places and postitions.

My youngest leo decided not to use her hides anymore to sleep! Nothing has changed in her environment so I guess she just finds it more comfy to sleep in the open. She still sleeps behind one of her hides but rarely goes in them anymore.

I think she wants to keep an eye out for food, lol!!! Every time she wakes up during the day and sees me, she runs to her dish and waits! Little Piggy!!!

My Girl likes to sit in, lay around on and generally 'hang out' on or near her calcium. I think the calcium remains cool, and maybe she likes the feeling too. Leos in captivity don't have the natural, loose substrate they may have in the wild, so digging and other activities are reduced or eliminated. My Girl likes to dig in her calcium dish (maybe for lost mealworms?) If they could only talk... =)

Oh, my Girl enjoys 'hunting' the clumps of calcium that 'jump' out of the lid while she is digging! (She's quite the quirky gecko!)
