update on Rogue.....
thank you for all the wishful emails and the support from this community. Means alot when things are bad. Rogue is eating on her own now, and the seizuring seems to have stopped. She goes in this Thursday to get further bloodwork done to determine the extent of the liver damage she has received. Whether or not she needs meds for the duration of her life doesn't matter at this point. We are lucky to still have her.
On a brighter note. My husband was devastated with this ordeal, and couldn't handle me being so down about Keigan. He was on the phone for two days secretively, and this little guy was delivered to me from Texas!! He is a fully registered Am. staff
and we have named him Diesel. Fits him well as he is absolutely clueless to pain from running into things. Rogue is still in a depression after not having her buddy Keigan around, but hopefully in time, this little guy will grow on her and become her new best friend.

That is so sweet. Honestly as hard as it is too lose a dog, especially the way you did, there is NO better cure for the pain than a new puppy.
That is one cute little guy! Glad to hear your other dog is medically getting well and hopefully she will be happy having another friend around!

Sweet lord he is cute. I hope Rouge recovers fully. Whether it's Karma or the cops the person(s) who did this will get what's coming to them. My thoughts are with you.

He even looks like he's smiling for the camera. Very cute. Best wishes for Rogue, I hope she recovers fully. What a sweet husband you have to do that for you. So sorry to hear about Keigan. Hope you find who did it...

What a cutie! Losing a companion can be really hard on a dog not to mention humans. Hopefully your new little buddy makes it easier. So glad to hear Rogue is doing better. Any luck finding the ******* who did this and what measures have you taken to prevent further attacks? (Curious because I worry this might happen to my dog someday)

Beth, I saw your first post on Keigan. I couldn't type through my tears, had no words anyway. I'm elated to hear about Rogue's progress. Your new pup is gorgeous; looks just like my one-year-old Scrappy ! Hope the perps are caught. I'm going to share a local news story with you that has given me some hope :
I heard this on my radio a couple days ago while working. It happened in Dartmouth,N.S. Two teenage boys between the age of 14 & 17 thought it would be cool to 'hang' a cat from a tree. A 13 year-old boy saw them but couldn't stop them. As soon as they left he ran to the tree & climbed up. with his pocket knife he cut the rope & pulled in the cat. He revived it with "mouth to snout". Then he called 911. He gave the police all the info & made sure the cat saw a vet. The police caught the two boys & they spent the night in jail. The next day they were released to their parents custody pending trial as charges are being pressed for cruelty & what-not. The cat is a-ok.
Hugs & luck, Darlene.
