I have got a 6 foot 2 inch, burmese python and i want to know how much does he needs to eat to grow at a good rate, he is about 10 months old at the moment and weighs about 9 pounds, and is eating 2 medium guinea pigs and 2 weaner rats every 10 days is that to much or to less.

Thanks.

When mine was that size I used to give her one or two small rabbits every seven days.

g pigs tend to be high in fat . If i were you i would find a rabbit breeder and switch to single servings of appropriate sized meals.
A feeding every 7- 10 days is a good guide line.
However as they get older and meals get bigger digestion gets slower. Its my opinion that many captive burms are over wieght, mostly due to the fact that they love to eat and keepers love to feed them. Jason

I couldn't agree more. They will eat as much as you want to feed them. There is always a temptation to feed more than is needed. Just be sensilble when feeding.
