Angry help stomp out gator misinformation

Hey Guys, I need some help here. I've just finished reading a lovely little article wherein the (anonymous) author stated that an alligator, if kept in a box "larger than a harmonica box, yet smaller than a chocolate box" will not grow. I know it's not true, and I know you all know it's not true, but I need some solid facts to back any rebuttal up. I'm just not happy jumping in and saying "you're a moron, an idiot, underinformed, and wrong" . . . even if it's true!

Thanks in advance for your thoughts

:grab:

Its definitely true that growth of gaters can be stunted by keeping them in too small of an enclosure. With most snakes, they will stop eating if they outgrow their tank and you do not upgrade them. this may also be true with gaters, I am not sure.

Sure, they'll stop growing. Pretty much everything stops growing once it's dead. :P
