so i have aabout 2 inched of dirt on the bottom of my dwarfw cage, and today AND yesterday, one has been digging holes, like they do to lay eggs ... the PROBLEM is that the one digging has NO eggs in her ... i felt her stomach and there is nothing but FAT!
i lied ... she is gravid after rechecking her ... now a new problem
she is digging in an area where there is a peice of cement (bottom to driftwood) and cannot dig deep enough to lay the eggs ... she will relocate herself to an area eventually where she CAN lay them right?
just wondering ... let me know
Jason
yet another update ...
i moved her into a bucket of moist soil and i am going to leave her there all day ... i just hope she doesnt get too stressed and retain the eggs
i really dont know!
they were in with a male at the pet store for about 3 days, and the manager said the 'got it on' so i am incubating anyways ... as soon as i build the courage to remove the eggs
