meow_mix450 -

My site has a step by step cage plan for a 2x2x4 cage. The plans are not complete yet I just need to add the door plans and how to put it all together. I hope to have that done very SOON! My plans are for the cages I use for my breeding stock, and since they are larger/older chameleons I used large 1/2" PVC coated hardware cloth (no toe problems or sores to worry about from the screen). However you can use the plans and just use a different screen (must be aluminum or shade cloth screen) don't use fiberglass screen. Also another idea is to use window screen and window frames to make a cage, I have made a few of those for indoors (no plans don't ask). I have not found any sites that have FREE step by step cage plans this is why I am publishing my plans for free. My cages, and setup is part of my back yard landscape so it must look good. You can make cheaper cages for less, buy the time I finished making my cages they cost about $50 each. You can opt to make a simple cage frame (one piece) and then staple the screen on to it and add a door for about $30. All prices are USD and rough estimate. I think morgana AKA Reptayls has cage plans to on her site, or available via email. Hope this helps! Hope this helps!

Reptariums! You can buy them at any petstore. They are VERY easy to assemble and are cheap and mesh. Only thing is that they dont keep humidity too well.

Only thing is I dont think the come in 5 foot tall versions, try and look anyways.

PS Is this your first lizard?
