How much are burms?
What are the current cost values of a Burmese Python a little over a year old, great temperament/personality, healthy eater (will eat live or f/t), around 3 feet long (had feeding problems first 3-4 months as a newborn which I think made her on the smaller side, but has eatten with no problems for the last year), nice light colors, and is truly a wonderful snake? I have to find new homes for my beloved snakes because I’m moving to Hawaii (military move) and I can’t take them into the islands. (Refer to following link for story: http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showt...threadid=19215)
If I don’t give them to friends to care for them for me, I want to know what their costs are and not be taken, but of course a good home comes before cost. Thank you.

For a year old snake I would think more around 100. But a burm at 1yr and 3ft is very small?? How much are you feeding?? My burm is 7 months old and 4 1/2ft.

If you can get $50 for a normal burm, TAKE IT. There are so many normal burms out there that need a new home that people can pick and choose, and I hate to say it, but people who know better will not pay that much for a normal burm. They are a dime a dozen. Does not make them a bad pet or anything (I have several normals myself...I like them), but as far as cost goes, they are very cheap (hence the over population problem).
If you are really just interested in finding it a good home, ask for a $25 - $50 adoption fee, and be happy if you get it placed before you have to move.
Just my opinion, so take it for what it is worth.

yeah, but even from a rescue you can expect to pay an adoption fee of $25 to $50.

i just bought a hatchling in quebec canada for 100$. that is cheap for here they usually go for 199.99$. but the important thing is that the snake gets a good home because these snakes get a bad enough rap as is.

I agree, you probably won't get much...just be glad for a good home. If you get a new one in the future maybe you should provide a higher temp and/or more frequent feedings.
I had an albino who went from 20"+ to 6 1/2' in just 6 m0s.
He ate every couple of days and stayed warm...got rid of him after he went for my sister's dog.

maybe 100 is expensive, but were i live 100$ is cheap. they usually go for 200$.I live in montreal. what show did you buy your burm from, because in the shows down here they don't sell any reptile it is just for info. purpose. I think that selling a burm 25$ is ridiculous because anyone can buy them a that price and most people have no idea what they are getting themselves into when they buy a burm. that is why most people want to get rid of them after the first year. people should always inform themselves on what the are buying because when you buy a burm it is a very serious matter.

Keep in mind that some of you are talking US funds and some are Canadian funds A ball for $50 US is the same thing as people selling balls for $100 here. Market price for normal burms in Canada is $75-$100... if you are paying $199 then you are buying from a pet store most likely.

I got mine at the FIRE show in Orlando last month. Alot of people had normals ranging anywhere from $20-$50. If $100 is a good price where you live, I'm just curious how much an albino or any other morph goes for?
