Why is my collard this color orange?Is this normal?

I think I remember hearing that females turn orange when they are gravid.

I used to have a male with her but he died .... he was old...
I only have the one now....Do u know how long till she will lay?

Does anyone know what temperature to incubate the eggs is??
.. I could only find one web site about collards... and it didn't help.....
The male died a good 2-3 months ago ... so I am not sure if they are even healthy eggs.....?
