Mouse breeding cage

This is my mouse breeding tank. There are two water bottles tied onto the left side of the cage. There are panels to come up the door and top areas of the cage (smell). There is a rubber maid container with holes in it. That is where I keep pinkies and babies. The ratio of mice I doing is 3.54 I get about 60 pinkies aevery two weeks ( I guess you could say I have a shortage of weiner). Just a cage I maid a long time ago, tell me what you think.

I'm by no means an expert on breeding mice, but I do have one as a pet so I know a little. Your floor space is great, but you're wasting space at the top. Since your cage is already made, I'd suggest putting a second level higher up with places to climb. That way the bigger mice will be able to go up top and you can fit more babies in the bottom. Just a thought!

Caging

The cage was not ment for mice. It was ment to keep animals in there as a holding tank to observe them. Thanks Richard Welter
