Crix breeders !?!

What do you guys use to kill your escapees ?

I've been breeding crix for a year now, but lately I'm starting to have too many roming my house, they,re even getting in my neighbors house.

Does anybody know about a product or trick that could help me out ?

have house geckos loose in your house to catch the straglers is all i can think of. i know thats what they do at the herp petstore i go to. But i'm sure this may not be the best path to take. wait for other people to answer.

That sounds like the safest method to me, assuming you don't have cats or small children. You could set up an area for them with a heat lamp and a small table fountain or something, by a wall, so they can come down to bask and drink at night. They're smart enough to find it. Just make sure your gecks are quarantined and deparasitized, and healthy before you let them go in your house.

Yep, or bug traps can keep the numbers to a minimum too. But if there is a chance of a herp escaping dont go with the bug lures...

A tokay gecko is a great way to go... try and gecko-proof your place so it isnt easy for the gecko to get out of the room (or house) and as suggesed set up a little area for it. Maybe keep it in a tank (laid down on its side) for a few days before opening the lid. It'll find it again.
Also, be sure to let some crickets lose if not enough to keep the gecko are escaping.

Thanks, but I've thought about that at one time, but too many possible problems..

I have a 3 stories house and can't close too many door.. + we allways have doors opened. That's why I'm looking for a product or trap of some sort.

Another way to feed the geckos without escapees would be to put them in tall glass near the light/water area. They geckos would easily climb down to get them, but the crickets would be unable to climb out.

The house geckos would probably NOT leave your house, they are nocturnal and rather small.

You could try something homemade--perhaps some sort of bait in a sticky trap. The typical roach motel might be just the thing.
