I'm also going to set up a "snake cam" for my corns, since they are the most active. I've always loved the idea. Of course, the cam will be outside the cage.

I use to try to see how my sankes doing when I am out. I set up a web cam right outside the cage and hook it up to my laptop near the cage. The setting of the web cam is in a way that it record only when there is movement of the snakes, but unfortunately, the snake moved may be around 10 minutes everyday then I gave up. One time I try to put the web cam inside the cage to see any difference, but my snake bit instantly and nearly tear the cable of the web cam. Recently, I got a DV cam with nightshot function, I may try again to see how things going...forgot one thing, my snake is a gaboon viper....wish you can get some good shots..

We used to have a cam set up on our snakes but they never moved. lol anyways we'll probably set a couple cam's up again after we reorginise the herp room and get a usb hub for the print server in the herp room (the usb port is being used by a printer preventing us from plugging in the usb cam).
