are these good

are black throted moneters good as pets, what are thay like, do anny of u have them?

yes they are very nice varanids to keep, as long as you dont consider varanids like you whod consider dogs or cats, varanids arnt realy pets, nevertheless you can still enjoy them just as much, with proper care and precaution.

Had a white throat and she was enjoyable I would have prefered to get her when she was a little smaller but still a great lizard. The huge hiss/huffs were amazing, to let you know she was all big and bad.

around 5 ft (that is white throat size so maybe check it out on the net to double check.)

Blackthroats are amazing!! however, if you plan on keeping a pair, watch out for the male!!! Ive heard of other people having very aggressive males and i can only second that!! our male is insane. Ive been waiting for him to charge through the plexi glass on his enclosure.
