Finally a normal clutch!

My female panther chameleon finally laid a normal clutch of eggs. Actually at the bottom of her pail of dirt, and not just strewn all over the place like usual.
I had a hell of a time getting her to lay. I put her in the bucket in my closet and she wouldn't dig. So after 2 days I put her back in her cage, and in minutes she was already digging into the substrate again. Sooo I put her IN the pail IN the cage, and she laid them in a few hours.

She laid a total of 29 eggs, one is bad for sure (I found it halfway down), but the rest look nice and white (though some have a couple dents). I put half of them on vermiculite and half on perlite. We'll see

yay!

WWWEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Congrats Zoe! You've been waiting a long time for this. And now an even longer wait begins for those eggs to hatch. What is it... 9 months incubation or something crazy like that?

Good luck!

Hi-

Thats GREAT! I am expecting my female Ambilobe to lay eggs very soon. There was a good article on Eggs: Laying To Hatching in the Ezine, check it out if you have not done so already, click the link below!
