id needed. no pics. sorry

Just got back from the petstore and they had 3 geckos labled "Giant Indo Velvet Geckos"
they were about 9" long, tan in color.
they looked very similar to Rhacodactylus Leachianus
much like this one infact, except with a longer tail
i'm not saying that it was a leachie, but if it is a rhacodactylus sp. i wouldn't mind getting them

any ideas?

The link doesn't work. What should be in place of all the stars?

Maybe a leaf tail gecko? I dunno. Or a crested gecko?

found it: Gehyra vorax, from fiji
can't find any care sheets on it. i'd assume its got to be pretty close to a crested or a leachie considering new caldonia is just below it. oh well, doesn't fit into my plans right now if thats what it is

They are a very cool species we have a pair and love them. They are quite hardy and vocal! Great geckos to own.

I'm going to double check on them on sunday just to make sure my description was correct, I'd hate for a pair of gargoyls to slip out from under my nose or something like that

Definately Gehyra vorax! There isn't a lot of info on them. They should be kept similar to Leachies and Cresteds, but you really shouldn't house them together. They slough their skin like day geckos, so be caeful if you handle them, and they are nasty like Tokay's, but can be hand tamed. They also don't reach sexual maturity until 2 yrs old. Fruit baby food supplemented with calcium and crix, mealies and silkworms once a week or so. They need lots of room too. They are awesome!
