Talking BP hissing

I try to keep handling my BP to a minimum and when ever i go and pick him up, he starts to hiss...

Is this because he isn't "tame"? i hardly ever pick him up and he only sees me every 3 days to clean his water dish(which is always clean).

Do your BP's do this? Should i start handling more often? but not too much that it stresses him out.

Just ignore the hissing, stick your hand in and grab him It is probably just a bluff. Yea I think you should probably handle him a little more, but don't over do it.

I agree with "tHeGiNo"...And even if the hiss is an actual threat...it's just a bite lol

Exactly! The good thing about that is once you get bitten and realize how little it hurts, you learn not to care anymore.
