i heard that since bp's are nocturnal they dont need any special lighting. i think the lighitng just tells them if its day or night. cause bp's in the wild spend their days in rat holes.
#1) Depends on how big your BP is. I normally feed mine one critter slightly bigger than the biggest part of the snake, every 5-7 days for juvies, every 10-14 days for adults.
#2) No. They have no need of full spectrum lighting. They are nocturnal animals.
