Yellow Ackies ( Yellow Spiny Tailed Monitor )

Hey,
I am very interested in keeping yellow ackies. I just have a few questions for anyone here who owns them. How big a cage do you need? I have looked all over and cant find any information on them. I read they need a 70 gallon, is that acurate? Is there anyone in western Canada who breeds them?

Thanks for taking a look,

Jeff
PS: if you have pics of your ackies or their cage can you please post them. Thanks
Jeff Terborg

If you wanna learn the ins-and-outs of monitors, get ackies. Set them up, and study them 24/7. You WILL learn a TON about monitors. No joke.

Here's a few pics of the cage. Main thing is get the right basking temps, cool refuge temps, no air flow, and good dirt (not soil).

And ask Jon K. (Niagra) about them. He's got a wealth of knowledge about acanthurus . Don Patterson as well. he breeds more monitors than anyone else in Canada. He helped me out tremendously.
