Smile My newest addition to my small Collection!

This is a picture of my new baby boa. S/He was just picked you last night and the poor thing was starving and was in way to hot of a cage for her. Over 105 can you believe that. I couldn't leave with out this one. So now I have 6 snakes. Hope the picture comes out okay it's a little out of focus. Thanks for looking. Jamie/Blueeheeler

Well I'm glad that you liked the picture. I just wish she had kept her meal down. She regurged it today. She had a previous incident with her first owner, so they took her back to the store. Store was unable to tell me when her last regurge was. Any Ideas would be accepted. I plan on letting her settle in for about another 2 weeks then I will try it again. Any other advice would be great. Blueeheeler

If she is used to a temp of 105, she might be having a reaction to the lack of heat???? Too hot / Too cold can cause some weird stuff. I would give her a couple of weeks, then try again.

Well I don't think that she was used to those temps as she had just been returned to the store that day then I bought her. I took her to the vet yesterday. He did a fecal and no internal parasites. Which is great. He also metioned Krypto Speritum......@ or something like that, but also stated that her poo does not look like she has Krypto Speritum since her stool does not have any traces of blood in it. Which I am releived to hear that. But, it was also metioned that due to her being fed 2 adult mice within a 10 day period, from her previous owner that she may have some scarring and will need time to heal. So I am giving her some more time to settle and the Vet has put her on Baytril for 14 days. She only gets half a drop from a 1 cc syringe on her nose. She has improved in the last 2 days since our visit to the vet. She is out and about more and spends less time on the warm side of her cage. Looks like all will turn out well with time. THank you for all of your posts. Blueeheeler
