hehe i'm glad to see i'm not the only one who thought of doing this.
Needless to say i did try. It didn't work she didn't like it, she couldn't get it to roll. The only reason i tried was i cant let my guys run around at all. So i thought this could be a solution but it only lasted about 2 min. Max. It's a silly idea but i tried.

My last silly thing I tried was making a hammock for my mice. I put a lot of effort into it, and when I put it in they crawled all over it and started nibbling on it. They finally completely removed the material and carried it off to their bed where they used it as a blanket.
