Colonel SB...

Hey,I've just noticed that you clean your softshells quite often..I would recommend just getting a decent filter...I know that you know softshells need good water quality, and every time you clean that out you're disturbing the bacteria and micro-organisms that are settling in in your tank. Like I mentioned, just get your self a good filter (a canister filter would work best) and maybe only do a partial water change once or twice a week....If your tank is getting dirty enough to have the need to clean it 2-3 times a week, you're overfeeding them, so just cut down on their food. Not trying to critisize, just trying to help cut the work load down and keep a healthy tank.

I actually have a Rena filstar hooked up to the tank it's rated for 75 gallons per hours. It's a type of canister filer so even when I change the watter the benificial bacteria are not distrubed well not the ones in the filter but thanks for you concern.
