Thumbs up BC show any information?

Hi there all - Canada:

Anyone know who (breeders) is attending the BC reptile show that' s coming up?

Trying to find out what will be at this show I want to drive there but it will be like 16 hours to get there and I rather know what is there before making this trip.

Anyone can hook me up with people going tell me please. I never attended a BC show before so I do not know what to expect as in animals.

Thank you for helping me out.

Well, BC doesn't have too many shows. We need people, ie sellers and buyers to make these shows happen. It may be 16 hrs, but you're going not just for the herps, but also the people!

So far I know there are about 20 tables spoken for.

I think you'll find an assortment of stuff there, from lizards to some higher end stuff.

Thank you Katt:

True its good to meet the people but when you are seeking a certain animal that you researched over and over for 2 years then told that a show will have many and its worth the trip. Then you arrange a schedule to make this drive and its like 13 hours and find that when you get there, there is nothing even close to what is promised.

Then you see why I am asking before a show, its great to talk and meet people but I have been to a few shows and 60% plus are people in and out in 40 minutes with a purchase. Most forget within an hour who they bought there animal from. As for me I do research over a long period of time before I purchase something and prepare the best possible natural life style for future animals.

The only thing missing is finding them, which these shows often contain. So I was only asking about people and animals in BC. That would be the farthest yet I travelled by car in hope that certain boas are there to be seen, studied and purchased.

Thank you.

Where are you from? 16 hrs is a long haul. Katt's right though if you say what you are looking for it might be easier.

Wink Distance matters in this situation

Hi there folks:

True I should mention what I would be looking for being certain boas and pythons:

Emerald Tree Boas
Green Tree Pythons
Albino Boas
Brazilian Redtail Boas
Bolivian Redtail Boas
Clown Ball Pythons

And if I should hit the lotto 649 soon.............lol.

Snow Boas
Pied Ball Pythons

But these would have to wait I guess cause I seem to pick the wrong numbers in those lottos.............lol...........getting closer I get 1 number so far I know I' ll get 2 with the next 4 years.........lol.

But seriously the 6 species mentioned above are on my list in these next 2 years. I know there are a few breeders and hobbiests with these and I guess they may attend the show but I do not know if they will and being selling anything.

16 plus means I am coming from northern Manitoba and of course doing the speed limit the whole time....................lol.

I loved the Calgary and Edmonton shows I attended just wish I got what I was looking for in those trips, now traveling from far has to have a more positive result in my search.

I actually drove to Niagara Falls last year through USA border straight there and stayed 4 days and drove straight back. I refuse to drive more than 5 hours per day ever again. But my love for boas and pythons seems to make me forget that long trip to the falls.

So now you see why I ask who and what will be at this BC show.

Thank you.....

Henry P does have a green tree python and I believe an albino boa. I would talk to him at the show. To see what exactly what he has available. His site is www.a1pythons.com.

Those "locality" type boas are a bit more difficult to find. Talk to boamania on ssnakess.

As for the higher end balls. I know there are pieds up here and het pieds, but haven't heard of any clowns.

Don Patterson has just recently announced that he has access to Snow Boas so Henry P. may also? Something to inquire about. Mark I.
