Don't worry everyone posts turtle pics here anyways. Sliders are a**holes hey. Mine always run over, my friend says oh look they're friendly as Speedy stands up in the corner and snaps at him. Nope!

haha yep! Mikey always likes to try and bite my fingers...but they do give off a "Friendly" look when they are constantly begging for food!!!

One thing I know for sure is that this guy can't wait to get out of his fairly small winter house and outside in his "pond" !!!

I got really super lucky....I only have the one turtle so I was at a garage sale and someone had this 6 foot long x 1 1/2 deep x 4 feet wide heavy duty plastic childrens pool. Its not bendable plastic, but hard and thick....anyways they sold it to me for 20 bucks. In the summer I fill it with water, place a basking spot in the middle, and Mikey lives on our fenced in deck for 3-4 months. He *loves* it!!!! The only thing I would improve is making one end a bit deeper for him. I will hopefully have pics this summer as soon as its warm enough.

That is awsome Marisa. I am doing the same thing! Except I bought a pre formed pond liner. I am builing it "above" ground on our deck. I am building a box around it and painting it the same as the deck. Put a little garden fence around it to protect the dogs noses. Oh yeah it will have an earthy area for them to dig in. Can't wait!
