Question Egg Help?

I HAVE TWO BOX TURTLES 1 MALE AND 1 FEMALE FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS THEY HAVE MATED (SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR) THE FEMALE PRODUCED 3 TO 4 EGGS EACH YEAR.I TRIED HATCHING THEM . I DID THE MOIST VERMICULITE , PEAT MOSS, I EVEM TRIED PUTTING THEM IN A COMPOST MOUND, AS ONE TURTLE OWNER WHO HAS BREED HIS TOLD ME TO DO NOTHIN THE EGGS SEAM TO GET BIGGER LIKE I WAS TOLD THEY DO AND I KEPT THEM THE WAY THEY WERE LAIED ,MARKED THE TOP W/ A MARKER, I HAVE CAUGHT THEM SEVERAL TIMES DOING IT IN THE LAST WEEKS AND I THINK IT WAS THE SAME TIME LAST YEAR SHE LAIED AND I DONT WANT TO LOSE THIS BATCH IF THEY ARE FERTILE ANY HELP ??

Hey man,I would use a pencil to mark the eggs...You could be poisoning them by using the marker as it could easily leach into the eggs.
