Thumbs up Tokay!!

I got a tokay from "burmese python" on Friday (Thanks again!). This is my first lizard! Got him set up in a 25gal tall (after I, like a moron, set a heat lamp on the glass of the upturned 20gal I was originally going to use and it cracked) with plastic plants and vines.

He's been great so far, not nearly as nasty as I expected, he's pretty vocal about his unhappiness at my trying to pick him up, though, lol...I even managed to get a peek at him grabbing a cricket!

The only thing that bugs me is that he spends all his time under the plants on the ground, which I chalk up to a security issue, so when I get a chance, I'm gonna get him some cork bark to rest up against the sides so he has higher places to hide.

Here are some pics of him and his setup!

Hey, after a recent trip to the Toronto Zoo I've got a good suggestion for you. They are experimenting with clear plastic tubes and black electrical tape. what they did is tape an entire tube up, and each week slowly remove strips of tape, so in time the clear tube will be completely exposed. apparently its working for them too.
