They say they dont git hungry but why not?

people say that snakes like bp can go without food for up to a year.Doesnt the snake get hungry after like a week?

Seriously though, they are made to endure long periods of not finding prey in the wild, or not finding their enviroment conditions right for hunting and eating. They must be able to oulast in the wild.

All snakes can fast. Even cornsnakes can go quite some time without eating and come through with flying colors. I know of someone who has one who went almost a year over on Rich Z's forum.

Im talking about captive snakes,like when people test how long it can go without food.LOL

The record in 22 months, it documented in the ball python manual. Anyone who is testing how long their snake can go with out food by withholding food is abusing their animal. Whether or not a BP is WC or CBB it is still a BP and many BP's fast during the winter months.

They DO get hungry, as bloodtests of cortisol levels show increased stress in fasting animals. They survive in spite of hunger.
