What about heat, light ECT..... Maybe you should have your mom say yes to getting a Ball before you get one and it get sick or something. Because you have to hide it and can't provide it with what it need's or your mom finding it and maybe killing it because 1 she told you no/ 2 she is scared/ or so on it would be the snake that suffers not you. Yes they can live in Rubber-maids but they also need other thing's as well one of them being attention and it sound's like it would only get attention when you mom is not home or in bed. Does that sound far to you? maybe you could take your mom to see a Ball python and show her what they are like and maybe she will give in and then you can house the snake the way it should be with the thing's it needs. I think a glow from under your bed would give it away to your mom
good luck

We are just trying to get you to understand that it is not fair to the snake on how you will be keeping it. How would you like it to be stuck in a rubber-maid with no light , heat ECT and stuck under a bed and only get attention when know one is around. Think before you get all mad because no one is on your side with this you sould think of why that is
Do you own any reptiles now? if not i think maybe you should think of what everyone said here and understand that it is not fair to the snake
with what you said that you are getting it even know your mother said no and going to hide it under your bed i don't know if anyone will help you out and if you get the snake anyway's i hope that it will get treated they way it should be.

haha i was in the same situation as you. I asked my mom if i could have a snake she said NOOOOOOOOO! I bought a Ball Python last week and i broke the news to her a couple of days ago, she flipped out!! She told me to throw it away in the forest, but obviously she knew that it would die in canada, Luckily my dad loves everything alive and he said i could have it. Hes the man!

ask if yur dad likes snake, if so buy one and say "dad let me have it"

Well good luck

Hey, I used to catch herps from outside and then try to hide them but trust me it will never work. Be fair to the snake you asked what else you would need we said heating , lighting ect I suggest taking her to the breeders house or whatever and letiing her get know a ball python but you cannot keep it hidden under your bed? THATS IT THATS ALL!!!!!!!

Is the begining part of this post missing? Otherwise, I think I'm missing something.

Good luck getting help from other forums. They are all going to say the same thing. Don't delete what you wrote just because people told you what you didn't want to hear. You asked for advice and it was given to you. That's the way the world works hunny.

lol...sorry you feel that way.
i know my mom...when she finds out i have him, shell be mad but wont make me get rid of him...thats how it always is.

he has a 30x16 cage hes living in w/ a hide spot, waterbowl, and a heating pad under half the cage. he gets a lot of light in my room...even though hes noctournal and seems to want to be in his hide box during the day and just come out at night....I dont see why you feel bad for him....hes been out of his cage a lot so far and hes not scared of me...so, yea.

also...when my mom finds out (2mths tops), i already plan on getting him a 55gal. tank with a nicer setup....but hes still tiny, so his setup now is fine....
