Saw this little guy this eve. while road cruisin' with a friend. Also a FL. banded water snake. DORs were peninsula ribbons, and a gravid scarlet snake.

Here he is next to a pic of my southern hognose. The hognose are sometimes killed when people mistake them for the pygmy rattlesnake. Unfortunately, many are of the idea that "the only good snake is a dead snake". Educate!
