Heat Rope?
There have been quite a few people mention this heat rope stuff and I am kinda curious to see what it is. I am familiar and use heat tape, lights, heat pads all with dimmers, but what is this heat rope exactly, and how does it work in comparison to the heat tape?
Thanks for your time in advance

Unless I'm mistaken, isn't it the stuff you wrap around pipes to keep them from freezing?

Here beth.
This is what you are looking for. I bought mine from Grant in Mississauga.
http://www.bigappleherp.com/Reptile_...pe_119500.html
I will be using it on my leo racks. Can't wait to try it out. It is really, really rubbery and flexable. ANd it heats better than the de-icing cable. Probably safer too.

The heat rope is simply a revolutionary product. It comes in various lengths and various wattage. From 15 foot to something like 37 foot lengths. It is allready wired up and ready to go. If oyu want more information feel free to email me or call me directly.

so basicaly if i want to heat indevidual enclosures i should stick to heat tape as appose to using 15' of heat cable in a 6'x2 1/2 x2 enclosure?
sounds great for racking systems but not for indevidual enclosures!

If it's CSA approved that's great! I've been trying to convince my dad to let me use heat tape but he's not letting me because insurance won't cover accidents on it. Hopefully you're right, but I haven't been able to find somewhere in Ottawa that sells it. Does anyone know where I can get it, preferably in Ottawa?
