Racks

I am planning to make a rack for my baby beardies and leos. I was just wondering, do they need light. Does any herp actually need light, aslong as they have heat??

Your baby leos will do fine with the heat and no light but the beardies definately need uv and basking light. Beardies need the uv to help digest their food and they can sence heat from above much better than from below. This is why heat rocks can burn them. They have a little "mark", if you want to call it on the top of their head called the third eye. It has been said that they use this "third eye" to sence how hot it is above them.
So, If you want to make a rack system for your leos you don't need lighting but for the beardies you will definately need it. But an easy way of making it would be to make a shelf for the containers with a screen overed shelf on top that holds the heat lights and 4 foot uv lights. Good luck.
