i need help

Hey guys i have a couple of qustions to ask because i want to get into the blood python seen. Are they realted to the Ball python and what are the cage requirements. And if any one has any picks of here cages post them.

hi i think the only way they r related to balls r cause they r both pythons :P bloods get HUGE!!!! so u will need a 60-120 gallon i use a 100 gallon for mine i hope my advice helped

BLoods need a little more care then some other snakes. Such as there humidity should be at 60% and bumped up to 80% during shed or you can soak them. Go to vpi.com they have some good info that could help you. What kind of blood are you looking to get?

Thanks your cage is realy nice. The only reason i thout they were related is that they have those short stuby tails and there lazy as hell. I like lazy snakes because they are to lazy to bite or run away.

I dont think snakes are ever to lazy to bit they just pass up the opertunaty every now and then

Bloods are never too lazy to bite my 2 borneos try to get me every chanc they get...thank god for quick hands...lol

LOL I second that! These guys get my vote as some of the quickest snakes around... and the feeding reflex on them is incredible! My one male literally gets his whole body off the ground and does a triple barrel roll when he hits his prey

Looks can definitely be deceiving... and these snakes are hard proof of that!

Your best bet for these snakes are rubbermaids until they get larger... then custom enclosures best suit them. Aquariums are not suited to this species due to the humidity requirements.

I disagree with you on this Linds, as you can see I keep my blood in an aquarium and she is perfectly fine. I think as long as you keep one hiding spot nice and moist and also a large water dish that they will do great. I will move her to a rubbermaid container when she is bigger though. And on a seperate note, my blood ate her first rat last night!
