What sex are the uromastyx? Are they both the same species? I would keep them seperate until they are the same size definately. Make sure they both aren't males. If they are, the two uros will fight each other and will need seperate cages for their life. Is there enough room in that one cage for two uromastyx? Is there enough hiding places, basking spots and food?

In my opinion, I would not keep two Mali's together. Uromastyx in general do not like each others company. A large space like you mentioned might help. The aggression of Uros doesn't mean they will bite and kill each other, it comes through by intimidating the other(s) sharing the same cage. It might cause one uro to starve itself to death. Mixing Uromastyx species is only possible when they are babies. If you are looking to breed them, I suggest a trio. One male and two females. Sexing them is normally easy unless you bought your Uros from a fancy breeder. The males are brightly coloured, females alittle duller. Or sex them as you do with iguanas or water dragons. My two cents.....I forget now what the question was lol

actually...coltiger...Mali's can be fine together. my roomate has 2 and they LOVE each other's company...in fact, when we lift up their hide box to look at them, they are usually cuddling up together. the only thing i can think of, Bartman, is that you have 2 males, and they are arguing for dominance. don't put them together again until you know the sex. take them to an exotic vet. they will be able to sex them right now. hope that helps
