Nice find in Kentucky!

Got down to Kentucky a couple weeks ago and did some herping....didnt find too much, but we did find this nice big black kingsnake.

it was a nice find since they dont occur in Ontario!

Those are some beautiful pics. I am a fan of all types of king snakes. Don't you wish we had them in Ontario?

there are a lot of snakes i wish we had in Ontario!
Its so disappointing that we lost the Timber Rattlesnake (sad day in ontario history!)

I know.. It is really unfortunate!! And the Massasagua is dwindling.

The only problem with rattlers is this: There will NEVER be public support for a reintroduction campaign.

To reintroduce a reptile, there needs to be widespread public support!! And who is going to support the reintroduction of a poisonous snake when their kids are playing in the fields??

I just hope we don't loose some of the locals (massasagua, fox snake, 5-lined skink, etc)
