If you have for example 1.2 of any type of lizard, how do u know which eggs come from which female??

The only way to be absolutely sure is to watch the females day and night, which can be hard! I would suggest that when you notice that your females are gravid, seperate them. That way you never have to guess which eggs belong to which female. hope that helps you out at least a little.

Well, you need to observe your females. You need to know which is gravid, and also need to observe which one is skinnier than before when you find eggs.

Yes Reptilez, that's what I do! The first thing I do every morning before work is check for eggs. I almost always know who will lay eggs. I have 18 female leos this year and all have laid eggs. It's a lot of work and patience, but I wasn't to good at it when I first started breeding. My first year was filled with learning and eventually I was able to tell when my females were gravid and when they would lay. Wow, it's hard to remember what it was like with only two females-they were just pets back then. lol

Reptilez, you always need to have a spare tank available whenever you have more than 1 herp in a tank. You never know when injury, infection, or gravidity will require separating them and emergencies tend to happen when the stores aren't open. Gravid females don't always need to be separated out but some are not comfortable laying eggs when they sense competition for nesting sites so you have got to be prepared.

If you don't have at least a rubbermaid and heating/lighting available, don't buy another herp until you get the supplies as well.
