Custom cage question

Hay every one I have a couple of quick questions. I am planning on purchasing or building three cages. They must be stackable one 7x3x3 and the other two are going to be 4x4x3. Would it be cheaper to build my own or purchase pre built like vison cages or boaphile plastics? Also if they are stackable what is the best way to heat them? Radian Pannels?
Thanks
Brian

i am just in the midst of starting on my cages today.
i think it would be cheaper to build thats why im doing it.
use melamine.
and prob one of the best ways to heat them would be to use heat tape. if you dont know what it is go to www.beanfarm.com and the have it there for sale.

i custum build most of my cages so for my snakes i use heat pads and for my lizards i use lamps and/or heat pads. but i would go for heat tape. depending of temp. requirements

I'm working on a custom enclosure and I'm planning to use lamps. The enclosure will have a separate compartment for the lamps and it will have a door so you don't have to look at the ugly things.

Hi I'm a newbie to this site but I do have some comments on this post. If you want cheaper go with building your own. Although I never built my own I do have a vision its 72x28x18 it cost me 300$'s. I didn't have to spend all that time with building plus you have to let it air out before you even put the snake in. That sometimes takes up to a couple of weeks. If you don't want the hassle I tihnk a vision would be best. If you want to stack I suggest flexwatt heat tape. Heat panels are also a good way to go too though. Just my .02
