The feeders' room April 2003

I find it easier to have mice in groups of 1-6 in the bigger glass cages than 1.2 in the little plastic gages. What do you think?

The bigger tanks work great.
Here are some of ours.

Vic: Yes you are very right about that but when you love what you do i believe you don't have any problem. I take care of 30 herps, 50 mice, 10 rats, about 5000 crickets and about 2000 mealworms. Also i have order 1000 waxworms I take care for all that by myself .
Mardy: You have a very good seyup there. I liked the idea with the inclined wire mesh. You put the food and the water? Can you post a closer pic?
Thanks ~Greg~

I've seen plastic commercial cages for rodents like those but as for young mice, can they feed through the mesh? I give mine commercial hamsters food (the good one). It is a very good and clean way feeding like that!(i mean with that mesh on top)

Not a problem at all feeding for the smaller guys.
The wire is 2-4 inches fro mthe bottom and they just jump up on the mesh and hang around eating.
It is 1/2 by 1/2 inch 16 gage wire

I think i will follow this type of cage. Another good point with this construction is that our hands do not touch anything inside their cage so our smell do not scare them and therefor i think they will not eat their babies.
