Unhappy Humidity Prob

I am having problem with humidity in my enclosure. I am using a 10 gal rubbermaid container and the humidity will rest at 50% in the cool end, until i spray the habitat with water. Afterwards it'll stay above 70% for a few hours then drop back down. The hotspot is ~90' and the cool end is ~80'. It's for my cloumbian boa baby. Thank you.

P.S. i should have pics shortly

actually he/she does and also she does not use the hides i have in there, it prefers the termostat i have put in there instead. I wonder if it's 'cause the hides are made of thin plastic and are transparent

Snakes like tight, dark hides, so get something which is nice and snug for it.

Like Vic said, your snake will be fine with slightly lower temps. Also, you can check the airflow that is going into your tank, too much will take away moisture, and too little will cause the air to get musty.

try 85 at the hot end. what you can do is use a shoe box and cut it to size for him. that should make him fell alot safer.
