Who here has Chameleons?

Who here has Chameleons? Breed, enclosure, size, sex, age, pix, etc? What are the best breed to buy? I was thinking about getting a couple Jackson's.

ME ME ME ME!!!

I have 3 adult blue panther chameleons... the male is ambanja, one female is nosey be, and the other is undetermined. There are tons of pics at http://www.zoestevens.com.
I prefer the panthers myself... they have such amazing, beautiful colours, are relatively hardy and simple to keep, stay a manageable size, and are decently handleable.
I've heard great stuff about Jacksons, tho!

Here is a list of the species currently under my care: 8.3 Chamaeleo calyptratus, 2.1 Furcifer pardalis, 1.0 Chamaeleo (Trioceros) werneri, 1.0 Bradypodion fischeri, 1.0 Bradypodion fischeri multituberculatum, 1.0 Furcifer verrucosus, 1.4 Rhampholeon brevicaudatus, 1.2 Rhampholeon temporalis. I think that's all?!?!?!?

I have 3 veileds as of now they are 3-6 inches or so they each have 1.5X1.5X3 feet enclosures i plan to upgrade in the future and use this for baby's when i breed them I use a reptiglow 8.0 four foot tube to prevent mbd they are suplemented with repcal and herpvite all i have to say is listen to trace she knows her stuff about cham's

I have one tiny small little male veiled (heehee)... right now he's in a 10 gallon because the big cage I built is way too big for him.. he wouldn't be able to find all his food!

He's very young, I believe he's only about 3 and half weeks or so.. However, I wasn't expecting such a young one, so that's why we had to get a backup cage!

They're too cool for words, it'll be so great if you get one (or a couple from the sounds of it! )

I have 1.1 Jackson's, 1.2 Nosey Be Panther's, 1.0 Veiled, 1.2 Werner's, 1.3 Rh. spectrum, 1.2 Fischer's and 1.1 Mt. Meru Jackson's. They are various ages.

My cage sizes vary - 2x2x4, 4x2x3, 2.5x2x3, etc. and some smaller cages 18"x18"x24" for the juvenilles and really small species. The outdoor cages are considerably larger.

One word of advice... especially when starting out - don't buy siblings for the purposes of eventually breeding them. In other words - if you want a "pair" don't get them from the same supplier unless they can prove that they are unrelated.

It aggrevates me to no end at the amount of "ads" I see posted on Kingsnake, etc. that sell veiled (or other spp) - 1 for so much - and ""pairs"" for just less than double that. These are brothers and sisters!!!

We need to keep away from interbreeding - as has been done so much in the past. I have seen the genetic defects from sibling interbreeding - and the necropsy wasn't pretty! So... just be wary of the possibility. Some breeders cannot resist the temptation to get another $50 sale... and they will sell you siblings.

We had a fella asking for a "pair" of nosy be panthers - I couldn't sell him 2 - because the clutch we were currently offering a\were related. So, he got mad at me!!! He told me it was none of my business who he bred to whom. We decided to refuse any sale to that person.

We keep a "stud book" for our bloodlines - that is the only way we can keep track of it all. So try to locate a concerned breeder - one that will make your first experience with chameleons a good one. )
