Smelly Liquid, gravid boa???
Ok, my suspected gravid boa, whom i presumed gravid and then presumed not, and now i am completely unsure, is swollen in her lower half so i am presumming her gravid again... anyways... The last 3 nights she has pee'd except this time the urates and liquid really smells. Is this a sign she is going to give birth??? I have never witnessed anything like this and quiete frankly none of my snakes urine has ever smelled like this??? Any advice would be great... It smells like a swamp???

Sounds like it jeff runny bird like fecies that stinks is a sign of impending birth.Do you have any pics? when was she bred? what species is she? when was her post ov shed?
three nights in a row for urates and fluids is very uncommon jeff. I would call Chris Marshell as he has seen a lot of strange stuff in the last few years with Boa births and all that,But I think pics are a must.I hope you make out ok man
And yes I did e mail you you shmuck and you never replied I was going to Invite you to the phillipines with me this summer but now you loose man I will ask Shane instead.

OH and I sit on my arse all day doing nuthing eh? My sales territory is about 100,000 square km and i still get home most nights. lol Speaking of stoning I think you me and Shane and a few others are way over due for a guy's night out.We could do a Hairball at the Hardball(close to Shaner) or we could do the dance club shake yo arse thing at the Ticker tape in Burlington and i know my spelling sucks.I will have to move soon so we need to get some of the boys out before I end up south of Heaven ( yes south of were Lind's lives) Cause I soon gotta be on the roll.

Jeff.
The behaviour you are talking about is pretty common, the female will usually empty any cloacal contents that she has stored, before giving birth.Sometimes it happens all at once, and other times it can be done over a period of a couple of days or so.
Has she become unusually active?..constantly crusing the cage?
Any other info such as copulation dates, sheding dates, and any pics of the female would also help...or you could always pick up the damn phone and call me!!...lol.
Best of luck bud!

Hi Jeff,
I know it's a different genus, but my female Jamaican Boa always produces a weird-looking, loose and smelly stool a few days before she drops. In her case it's not a huge evacuation, but it is definitely different than her normal poop.
Something's coming! Good Luck!
