We want more! More!! Wish I could get more from you but worried about inbreeding too much. Are these ones which you've bred related to my guys? I think they are.

Yeah, Vanan these are the parents to yours. I wouldn't worry too much about the inbreeding though. Anyway when your'e down I'll get you unrelated snakes if you want.

Thanks Mark. That would definitely be helpful. Preferably as good looking as yours.

I'll tell you Vanan, the albinos from these are just killer! (pat on back) They are more dark red and white than most that have sort of a light red and cream look. I will probably keep any albinos from them this year. I was foolish not to have in past years. First things first though. I hate "counting my chickens............."

That's a great looking snake Mark! How are they for care and temperament in comparison to other Lampropeltis sub species?

Damn you Mark! Any albinos which you're not keeping better have MY name on them!! lol. Serious man! You were telling me how awesome they look but now that I see them! Wow! I'd better have sole exclusive rights to any albino you're not keeping Mark!! Hee hee.

Cranwill, I'd have to say they are very calm. I haven't had one strike or even rattle his tail. Great to handle--never musk either. Feed like mad. Most of the snakes I have fall into that category. I have a few pissy Cal.kings though. Anyway, I was told the adults I have (I got them the day they hatched) may be het for stripe. I had no idea they were het for albino, so you can imagine my surprise when her first clutch of 4 eggs resulted in 1 albino. Truthfully, not many keep the normals. I love them when they're small and the saddles are kinda maroon on a gold ground color. My friend who also produces many more than I do, has the biggest prairie king I've seen. He's well over 4'. His albinos are lighter and tend to have the "twin spot" look rather than saddles. Thanks everyone!
