First snakes of the season

I went out today and found over 2 dozen painted turtles and 6 E. Garter Snakes. 4 of the snakes hanging aroung the entrance to a denning site.

That's cool. I went to Rattray Marsh but didn't do too much hunting. I did see a Virginia Opossum though.

Congrats on the finds!

That is amazing for one days collecting. How long did it take?

No collecting done, just observe, count and videotape. All the turtles where found in two bodies of water fifty feet apart. The snakes where found on a 45 minute walk, but a half of that time was observing.
