Very nice fire bellieds. Can you clear up a myth?? Or maybe it isnt. I was told a long time ago that handling these guys can give you a rash due to a poison or something on their skin, is this true?

We've never gotten a rash from holding them, but my boyfriend was handling them and didn't wash his hands right away, and scratched his eye and it made it really itchy.

Yep, I've got very sensitive skin and I've gotten reddened itchy patches on the insides of my wrists after assisting in surgery on a FBTs. Most people don't have problems though.

IME, I've never washed my hands after handling any of my pets...only before and I have never gotten a rash or anything. It depends on your skin.

We paid $14.99 plus tax for each of them, but that's pretty cheap for around here.
